About PJW

Punjabbawockeez is the first competitive all-male South Asian fusion dance team at the University of Texas at Austin, combining traditional Bhangra with modern hip-hop and some additional surprises. Punjabbawockeez, or PJW, consists of extremely passionate, goofy, and handsome dancers whose common goal is having fun on and off stage. Each member of PJW brings something unique to the table. Making their debut in the fall of 2010 at Jhalak, this band of brothers has changed the South Asian dance scene at UT. PJW is currently in its 13th year. Punjabbawockeez stays heavily involved by facilitating unity in the South Asian dance community, participating in community service, and holding mixers with other dance teams and organizations. The Punjabbawockeez hope to captivate audiences for many years to come!
